I bought this book because there was a lack of information on the beverage industry, but I found this book to contain too few ideas and was always just leading up to "the next thing" without delivering much actionable information. He also has a blog out there, but I find it is a lot of "marketing talk", he hypes a lot of things up and doesn't bring clarity to the beverage industry for first timers.If you want to learn about the beverage industry, you're better off spending 50 bucks on joining up at BeverageSchool (dot) com. They have many insiders and consultants delivering up real actionable information and clarity about what it really takes. For example one of the guys (can't think of his name at the moment), he says normally it will take at least $20k to startup, though he seen some people really bootstrap it for $10k or a little less, but it's very rare. It's that kind of info that I need to know. Also I learned that sampling is the most effective for marketing strategy, even more so than celebrity endorsement, it has 40% conversion rate.Anyways, that's just my 2 cents of what I found to be the most helpful available online.Back to the book, I would've just gave the book one star, but I figured it did offer some information and wasn't completely drivel. But I wouldn't waste your time.

Didn't teach me anything new or give me any actionable steps towards what to do to get closer to actually launching my product/business.

I never write reviews. I make an exception here because this book is terrible. Brad Smith's review is SPOT ON! Even the passages he quotes from the book are WORD FOR WORD. The entire book spends pages and pages telling you everything you will learn LATER in the book--- and when you get to the second half of the book, it reminds you of everything you JUST READ, which was just the author telling you what you're GOING TO READ! I'm not exaggerating. I'm not being histrionic. The book is a gigantic exercise in temperance. And worse, it reads as if it's written by a fourth grader writing a book report the night before. If you remove the fluff, self-promotion, and incoherence, the book is twenty pages long. Even that's too generous.Please don't buy this book. Save your money.

What a great book if you are in the beverage business. We give a copy to each of our new distributors and sales people. There are some new "Ninja type" things, but a lot of basic sales advice that most people are not doing. If we can get our distributors to read the whole book, we are way ahead of the game in training. We used pieces of the book to create our sales training. We were also lucky enough to hire Jorge to come in for some private training with our distributors and staff. This book gives one a good idea of how the industry functions, but of course, the system is a lot more complex and to avoid the pitfalls of those who have tried and failed already, the author wants to keep the reader interested in hiring his firm services. Nothing wrong with that. It is like a manual but without giving away all the good information.

Like one other reviewer said here, this book is purely self-promotional. It's light on content, has spelling and grammatical errors and uses a lot of redundant text (fillers). For example, every chapter begins with "you will learn how to ...", then goes light on details and ends with "you now have learned that ...". But we never learn much.To add insult to injury, I hired Jorge after reading the book, in a desperate attempt to see if maybe he could help me out with my beverage. Turns out, he's just the same in real life as he is in the book: all talk, no action, no insight, no help.

The book gave an in depth route, direction or blueprint to any individual interested in bringing a product to the masses.It reiterate the fundamentals, such as avoiding the paralyzes by analysis rut. All your "ducks" do not have to be lined up to proceed. The biggest take away was really simple and obvious. It echoed a sentiment we all sometimes have to hear over and over; You don't have to see the entire staircase to take the first step...MLK.

This was purchased for my 14 year old daughter who asked for a devotional book of her own. It doesn't have dates in it like most devotionals I've owned, but there are 365 devotionals in it. Each devotion has scripture that goes along with an explanation, story, life experience, etc relating to that scripture written by other teen girls from all over the country of various ages. I love that the writings are by other Christian teen girls. The devotions are very easy for my daughter to understand because it's like hearing her peers explaining what they think about that scripture. This is important (in my opinion) for young Christians or young people seeking a relationship with Christ. I'm purchasing this item again today because my older daughter (17 yrs old) really likes it and requested one. Now my girls can do their daily devotionals together! I highly recommend this to anyone who has a young lady in their life who wants to have a closer relationship with Christ or who you want to encourage to have that relationship. I would say this is for a wide variety of ages of girls - depending on their understanding/knowledge of Scripture OR if they have someone they can ask questions if they don't understand. My daughter has had no problem understanding this devotional at all. We do look up the scripture in her Bible each day and read it there as well. That is the main time she has questions or may need a deeper explanation which I am more than happy to do and share that time together. In my opinion I would say the book could be for a girl who is 11 or 12 years old and up. She may need some explanation of Scripture, but the devotions written are so easy to understand. My daughters think the book is also very "pretty". It is hardcover, but it's a soft hardcover. Not like cardboard. I couldn't be happier with my purchase & highly recommend this to others.

I bought this book as a confirmation gift for a 13 year old girl and when I looked in the book and read some of the devotions, I did not feel that some of the topics were appropriate for young teens (i.e. sex, drugs, alcohol, homosexuality, etc.). Don't misunderstand me - I believe these topics should be DISCUSSED with young teens, but I do not think it is appropriate to hand them a book with a 2 - 3 paragraph devotion on these topics, without any follow-up discussion. I ended up not giving her this book and, instead, gave her a Bible for teen girls!

This is the one! Pick this one! I read all of the reviews from several teen girl devos and I did some google searching to find excerpts/sample pages. This devo addresses difficult topics that we may not think are appropriate for young teenagers, but unless your children are home-schooled, do not watch TV, and never have unsupervised social interaction (even at church), then your children are already dealing with these issues and they need this book to help them learn and live the only perspective that matters on any issue, God's! My niece saw me (when I dropped my daughter off at school this AM) and with this book in her hand and her finger inside it marking her spot, she yelled out to me, "THANK YOU for my devotional, Aunt Jessi!!!"Also, because it is written by teens, I think the readers feel like it is even more relatable to their own lives. The scriptures - the Bread of Life, and the stories within these pages, are just what the teenage girls in in our lives need to help them draw close to Him and have a joyful life even in the midst of the storms of adolescence.

I like this book a lot. Being a teenager it really does give some comfort to some of the problems we face. I do wish the day to day things were a bit longer since they're only one short page. But I make it longer by reading the page the reading the chapter the bible verse they use comes from.

There was a very important detail left out of this book’s description. Each devotion was followed by the girl’s name, age, hometown, and church. Every girl is a member of a Baptist church exclusively. Just something to be aware of before making the decision whether to purchase or not.

This book is even better than I had anticipated it would be. The stories are deeply relatable for my 11-year-old daughter. She keeps it at her bedside and won’t go to sleep without reading it. She says that the information has provided useful insight regarding her maturing thoughts and feelings. She especially appreciates that it is written by her age group so that she can connect with it on a more personal level. This is a fabulous book of comfort and guidance for every teenager or preteen.

I bought this for my 12 year old granddaughter and gave it as a Christmas gift. When she opened it, I pointed out that it was "for teens, written by teens", so she started browsing through it. Very shortly thereafter, she came over and hugged me, almost crying, saying that she had just read a devotion and it was so great! She got MUCH more expensive items that she asked for, but THIS is the one she seemed to care about the most!

Bought this for my 12-year-old niece who was recently baptized. It's a beautiful book with relevant topics for teen girls and what they face each day out in the world. Highly recommend!

We have the girls and guys version for our 10 kids! Love it and our teenagers completely relate to the daily devotionals. Our kids do this every morning before they come down for breakfast. Well written and such an encouragement that they are written by other like minded teens.

Emmett said hello and she acted very cold. She did not want to be involved with a cowboy. She left to get away from an old boyfriend . Neither one dated very much. The cowboy an their wives were going to a dance and while they are there Emmett accidentally spills lemonade on Molly when they bump into each other

This story is very uplifting it gives you hope when you're afraid. Your stories make things very believable as in the characters seem to show their feelings thank you for writing such nice sweet stories.

Such a wonderful heartfelt story beginning to end. So glad they found each other. Can't wait for the next book.

However, by relying upon God and each other, the journey can provide splashes of joy along the way. This book is highly recommended!

This is another good story from Liz Iscaason. When a single retired rodeo cowboy that trains horses to be rodeo barrel racers meets a retired rodeo barrel racing cowgirl at the dance it doesn't go well at all. But when Molly is hired to work at Brush Creek Horse Ranch with Emmett they have to work side by side and if she cannot work with the instructions Emmett gives her she doesn't have a job. But Emmett is a super easy going Christian man that has never wanted no more than his job and his cat, until meeting Molly. Her leaving gave him the feel that his life has changed to the point that he doesn't want to live without Molly and she feels the same too. Molly's mother told her to let Emmett make a choice if he wants to come be with her while her father is in his last days or not. Emmett makes it to Omaha and gets to meet both of Molly's parents and he starts doing everything he can for Molly and her mother who are so exhausted. He proposed to Molly and they are so happy. He takes over doing the little things around the house while they stay at the hospital. 3 days later her father passes. Her mother makes a lot of decisions that go along with loosing a husband and not having any family left in Omaha so they pack up her house and sell it and bring her to Brush Creek to live near them. What a beautiful story of true love being new and the loss of another. But their faith gets them through.

A prime example of this form is War Horse, originally mounted by the National Theater of London and Handspring Puppet Company in 2007 and subsequently playing in eleven countries.A full size horse seems to appear on stage but is clearly operated by three puppeteers in full view of the audience. The exposed puppet horse skeleton is made of bamboo and covered in translucent fabric. It is not a horse at all unless we are seduced to believe it is real by the skillful manipulation of the three puppeteers. One key to animation is the breath. Breathing together allows the three horse puppeteers to work together. It also shows us that the horse is alive.Mervyn Millar was part of the original cast of War Horse, and is part of the creative team mounting this and other productions. He has traveled internationally, training subsequent casts of War Horse and also heads his own production company, Significant Object. He has now written a comprehensive 381 page training manual for performing puppetry.Puppetry: How to Do It presents fifty exercises developed during Millar’s career in puppetry. He generously gives credit for the origin of the training strategies. For example he says “More than fifteen years ago, I first met Handspring and they led a two week workshop on making puppets breathe. I can’t remember if I’d had puppets breathing before that, but it chimed with a desire I’d had to see how small and precise a puppet’s movement could be.” (p. xiv)In like manner he credits puppet shows played on the open stage with visible puppeteers as having a key reference point in the Japanese Bunraku. This influence is obvious in the book’s cover photograph. But he adds that the influence of “western theater is often irreverent, restless, experimental and characterized by endlessly changing puppet designs and conventions.” (p. 170) This modern mix of puppetry production is skillfully addressed with new exercises in this manual.Improvisation which includes the workshop participants as audience is an essential element in the training. The workshop participants give the puppeteer a specific feedback of what they see. The workshop performers accept the observations without defending their performance. Unless guided by the leader the workshop can become a debate. The focus is on creating and perceiving the work.The workshop is a rare opportunity to hear in detail what the audience sees on stage. Mervyn gives a number of strategies to make the performers feel safe so that they can open up as the workshop develops. Among them is keeping the atmosphere light and supportive, sometimes playing music during the scene, and importantly, side coaching during the playing.Millar utilizes bullet points for suggested side coaching and for ideas that the leader might want to explore. He suggests knowing the exercise well with the goal of making it the leader’s own. Added commentary before and after each exercise gives depth by offering the author’s personal experience with the issue.The exercises are sequenced from bare hands, to sticks, to found objects and finally to brown paper puppets but there are too many exercises to form a singular curriculum. They are meant to be chosen to fit the needs of the players and the production and the time available. The brown paper full sized shapes walk on the floor while the collection of sticks, about eighteen inches long, walk on on tables. The table is familiar ground for those who have played with a toy theater.The last publication dealing solely with puppet performance is Making Puppets Come Alive by Larry Engler and Carol Fijan published in 1971, 48 years ago, and still in print. This book is a taxonomy of hand puppet gestures. Current practice often mixes puppets with legitimate performance and is eclectic in methods of puppet manipulation. A new handbook is a welcome addition to puppet performance literature.Almost forty years ago my daughter and I had a good time playing with her rag doll, Emmy. My daughter would say “Let Emmy talk, Dad.” I never thought that our play with Emmy could have been the core of a show because there was no performance model available. They'll meet the characters just fine without the first one.In my opinion, the first book is too 'raw.' The sex and violence are too graphic. To me, it seemed that the author wasn't certain what sort of book she wanted to write. By the second or third in the series, she hit her stride and got more comfortable with her own characters and genre. But the first in the series just isn't comfortable in its own skin.Enjoy the series, though! It's a hoot! I live in NJ and work in Trenton, and love the "local" references.

Lazy Review Time - since this came out forever ago and there are a bazillion reviewsThis series has 20+ books in it. I can see what it has been so popular over the years. It is just a good time wrapped up in a ball and transported to the 90s. A time when New Jersey was known for garbage and hydrocarbons and people still had answering machines and no cell phones….YES we used to live like that.Stephanie Plum is a fun character and this was a pretty good introductory book with funny shenanigans as she tries to figure out how to be a bounty hunter. She makes some pretty big mistakes that lead to a little bit of hilarity along the way. She is easy to like and I had a good time hanging out with her as she learns the ropes Eliza Doolittle style from a guy named Ranger that I could help but picture in my head as Dog the Bounty Hunter.A few things I liked:①- The Nostalgia I felt for the 90s② - The hinted at future romantic interest *crosses finger* I really liked Morelli and hope they ‘Play Train’ sooner rather than later.③ - Crazy Shenanigans i.e. hitting the boy who took your virginity and didn’t call with your car a few years later. (don’t worry he was okay)④ - Crazy Grandma’s. I love funny and ridiculous family members so this fit the bill well⑤ - Totally creepy psychopaths. The messed up in the head bad guy is a bit deranged and pretty scary.Definitely and easy fun and funny read with a little drama and suspense.

With fast scene changes and a main character that is both frivolous and fun, this book is a good one for pure enjoyment, for just kicking back and going with the flow. Stephanie Plum makes decisions on the fly, with not much concentrated intellectual effort, but that suits the environment and job function she finds herself in. She is a Jersey chick that finds that she must sometimes do things that are totally out of character and in steep contrast with her upbringing. Her breaking of tradition, her negation of her past regimentation, makes this story fascinating and worth the time for its perusal.Adapting to frightening situations with sometimes bold innovation and an absence of timidity, Stephanie is both a risk taker and one who hedges her bets along the way with subtasks that assist in sustaining her financially as she seeks to attain her major goal. This goal is to capture an acquaintance, a guy she ****ed in her younger years, and who has skipped bail on murder charges and seemingly wants to prove his innocence.Along the way Stephanie steals his vehicle, discarding the jalopy she started off with, and encounters unsavory and purely evil characters that make the reader want to enter a bathroom for a date with the commode. But Stephanie deals with the creeps and bums that enter into her circle of protected space and decrease its radius with skill and daring, and for readers who admire such traits in a woman, especially male readers, a voluntary sharing of their personal space would be both natural and desirable.

Fabulous series. I've read every book and can't wait for the next one. I recommend starting with this one and going through the entire series in order. Stephanie Plum and her family are wonderful. I bought this so I would have it on my Kindle as well as in hard cover. Worth rereading. Stephanie loses her job and can't find another one. Just about broke, she blackmails her pervert cousin, Vinnie, to hire her as a bounty hunter. She is the most inept bounty hunter and also the luckiest ever. Her first big assignment is bringing in Joe Morelli, her former flame and the guy she ran over when he didn't call. Add in her Granny, who looks like 90 and acts like 20 and her mentor, the super hot bounty hunter, Ranger. Mix this all in with Jersey attitude and you have an amazing result. I hope Evanovich keeps writing. I need my regular fix.

This slice of a Trenton NJ girl falling into a career as a bounty hunter is funny, realistic, far-fetched, gritty and charming. Stephanie Plum is out of work, out of appliances and finds herself "employed" as a bounty hunter by her seriously disturbed cousin, Vinny. Going after the big bucks finds her face-to-face with her old flame/nemesis and while she is lucky, she doesn't have the skill to bring him in. Caught up in investigating a murder, and stalked by an insane boxer who likes to hurt women, she is over her head. Let the chaos ensue!

This was a gift for my wife to whom I frequently gift books. I had heard of this series in the past and the new movie was coming out at the time. We got this reprinted large paperback edition for the movie's release. She had never read any of the books in the series.She's read many more of them since then, and states that she can't really remember how the series started. As with any good series, your memories of the characters tend to change over time with the story so it's understandable. Obviously this means that it's a worthwhile series and a recommended read.4 stars for the book, and 4 stars for the product. I hate stickers that don't come off clean and the back right corner has a sticker that will leave the book needing some TLC so -1 star.

Bought this to help me with my pathos in nursing school. I love the way the info is presented in the book, makes it very simple to write a patho and understand everything. I wish it included more disease/conditions!

The book is okay. It doesn't go in-depth about most of the diseases. For example: partial GI obstruction. It has a single page in large print. It covers about 1/4 of what is really happening in the disease. It gives very vague reasons as to what causes a partial block. But it has enough to get you started for your patient care reports. The rest you can find on google.

I have not used this book for class yet but as I have gone through some of the content, I can say that this is going to be a great reference book; it is very concise and to the point; also, the illustrations make it easy to understand and visualize the concepts.

Outside of the book was quite dirty (nothing a couple Clorox wipes won't cure). Inside pages were impeccable as though the book had never been cracked! Satisfied

I was skeptical of buying any medical or anatomy books that do not give a look inside to see what it is that you are really buying, but I had a teacher who had this book and I was able to look at it before I purchased it.this book is great! it has the most common diseases and conditions that are seen in the USA.each disease or condition explains what it is in a simple paragraph with a list of signs and symptoms and a section on the pathophysiology. on the opposite side the book has a very detailed and well colored picture that shows where/what the conditions is being talked about. as someone who learns both with descriptions and pictures, this is perfect for me.this is about the size of a textbook, so its not meant to be a pocket guide, but rather a great desk reference to quickly highlight the commonalities of the diseases and conditions.WORTH THE MONEY!

Product arrived quickly and in great condition. Was listed as Used-Like New and exceeded expectations. Minor signs of use, but nothing that has been a problem. Ordered this for nursing school and has been very useful.

I love this book. I am an RN and work acute Rehab. This book is a wonderful, easy refeence and great patient teaching tool. One of the best books I have come across for professional, or patient education. Vivid pictures make it easy to understand the medical process.
