A Reason To Live: An Inspirational Romance (A Reason To Love Book 1)Of all the books of T K Chapin that I have read this one was the most real to me. Five weeks ago I lost my wife to pancreatic cancer. From her diagnosis until her death was 9 weeks. It was very aggressive and caused a lot of pain. As I sat at her bedside, I went through the exact reactions that Johnathan did in this book. I wanted her to go and be with the Lord so that her pain would finish but I wanted her to stay for me. As I write this comment, I do so with tears in my eyes and rolling down my cheeks. These tears are not for her but for me as she is in that better place and she will never return to me but I will go to her. Either T.K. has gone through this experience or he has done a lot of research because as I read it, I was right there. A truth that is brought out to Johnathan that was an encouragement to me was when he recognised that Marie did not belong to him but she belonged to the Lord. Thank you T.K. for this book. I hope that it will be a help to others as it has been to me and that by the grace of God and his wisdom, you will write many more.

This book was very good, cute until 3/4 of the way through. I cannot handle a book that the main character's can't decide what they want in a relationship so they go back and forth. In this case they separated for 1 1/2 years.When they come across each other again the story went to fast then cut to short. She agreed to marry him the poof the story was done. I feel it needs an epilogue. I'm not inspired to buy another one of this author's books.

A Reason to Live, book one by T. K. Chapin in his latest series A Reason to Love is a delightful story showing how God’s love is there no matter the brokenness of an individual. Jonathan and Kylie’s story will pull at your heartstrings. Kylie’s past was not easy and Jonathan is caring for his two year niece whose mother is heading down the wrong path in life. Sweet little Rose brought the two together when Jonathan needed a nanny. Kylie loved God and Jonathan had put Him on the back shelf after the death of his wife. Will there be a way for Kylie’s faith and witness brings healing to Jonathan?Chapin’s brought true to life issues in society today into this easy to read tale even with tears flowing to show how broken lives can be healed with dreams fulfilled by God’s amazing love, grace and mercy. This is the first book I’ve read by Chapin, but it will not be my last one. I’m glad to discover another Christian author creating stories that are wholesome without any violence, sex and profanity in it.

Every new book by Mr. Chapin becomes my new favorite. This story was exceptional. It is filled with real life, the spiritual struggles, lreaning to love God above everyone and everything, finding God's love is always surrounding His children, trusting in His plan and His timing; so much depth in the story and wonderful, complex characters. I couldn't lay this one down.

TJ Chapin has such a powerful way of weaving God’s loving presence into all circumstances... despite doubts and uncertainties, we see God weaving faith, love, and forgiveness into two very broken individuals!

I loved this book. So true and empowering. So many hurting people need to read T K Chapin for help to find their way. Easy to read & full of widom.

Wonderful love story. Great romantic adventure and the ending was great too. Everything is better when you put God first. Starting out with friendship and ending with love is amazing. I will certainly recommend this book

I absolutely LOVED this book. I knew I had some tendencies towards perfectionism but this book explains in detail the signs and symptoms that I would have missed otherwise. It's such a gentle approach that I help me to understand myself in a deeper way. I instantly related to the personal examples and found the exercises very easy and though provoking. As a therapist, I have already recommended this book to several clients ( and friends ) for those struggling with high expectations and people pleasing behaviors. This is a must read for anyone seeking positive change from issues like low self-esteem, perfectionism, difficulty letting go, self-forgiveness, adult children of alcoholic issues and codependency. Such a wonderful contribution to our field! Thank you Sharon!

This is a wonderful book in workbook format. I found it to be very well written, and most importantly, accessible to the average person. You don't have to be a professional to understand it, although it is based on up-to-date research and the author's many years of experience as a psychotherapist. It is well organized and each chapter, with exercises, flows smoothly into the next. It gently expands your ideas about perfectionism and offers real-life examples that anyone can relate to. I'm just halfway through, but am excited to keep going. I feel grateful to Sharon Martin for giving us this resource!

I love this workbook! Sharon Martin covers everything from how perfectionism develops to strategies for self-compassion. Her step-by-step exercises allow the reader to go at their own pace when working through the chapters, or jump in to areas that might need particular attention. I've already given away one copy and will continue to recommend it to my clients who struggle with perfectionism and the anxiety it creates!

This workbook written by Therapist Sharon Martin, LCSW is extremely helpful in understanding the nuances of Perfectionism and how to work through the struggles many face being a perfectionist. What I like the most about this book is Sharon's ability to self disclose her own personal struggles with perfectionism to help the reader feel validated and understood. It defines perfectionism in a clear and easy way that any person, whether your a professional in the field, or just a person who wants to make changes, can understand. The chapters are well thought out and offer many exercises to work through that are very helpful in reaching the goals of the book. I have already recommended this book to clients, friends, and family members with positive response.

I love that Sharon clearly balanced real-life situations with all the research out there, especially because I'm a psychology professor and life coach. I found the question prompts very helpful for myself. My favorite chapter was the one about reflecting on your childhood and how that ties to your perfectionism. I'll be recommending this book to many clients!

The STREETWISE TOKYO MAP was really helpful for my first trip to Tokyo this month. Not only does it break Tokyo down into the separate districts like Shibuya, Shinjuku, Asakusa, etc., it provides icons for big hotels and landmarks, so that you can figure out where you are, and there's also a Tokyo area map showing all of the districts within Tokyo.Another really good thing about the map is the listing of subway/train station numbers and lines. This was really helpful in figuring out the route from point A to point B. We learned the hard way that Tokyo isn't an area that you can walk from one place to another, unless you're really familiar with the streets, because they aren't logically set up like here in the states. The streets of Tokyo branch out and twist and turn and you can get lost very easily!We got lost about 3 or 4 times, even when we were walking in what seemed like a straight line. Luckily, the STREEWISE TOKYO MAP shows the subway and train lines so you can just follow along the appropriate line to get from where you are to where you want to go and then head down to the station. Because the subway lines have a combination of letters and numbers, i.e. the Marunouchi line is listed on the map and in real life as "M" plus a number denoting the station stops, it's really easy to figure out which line you need to be taking and at what number stop you need to get off at.Trust the map and the numbers because there was one anomaly that appears in the Shibuya area of the map and Shinjuku. Actually it isn't an anomaly but if you walked the area, we walked from the Tokyo Gymnasium back into Shinjuku where we were staying, it would seem that Shibuya is actually above Shinjuku, but it's not. So when we decided to ride the Fukutoshin Line to get to Harujuku, after getting hopelessly lost on foot, we noticed that the station stop numbers were getting higher, instead of lower, but it was right on.The above probably makes no sense, but if you've ever walked the streets of Shinjuku and Shibuya you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.Anyway, the map is great for finding your way when you become lost, or may actually prevent it, and it'll help you figure out the subway and train lines so you can get to where you need to go.

Love the format of the Streetwise maps. Sturdy and foldable to fit in a pocket. Tokyo can be a challenging place to navigate, especially if you are trying to find a street address. Streetwise has hints and the appropriate section and block markings to guide a visitor to the right desintation.

If you're going to a huge, wild city like Tokyo, you'd better have a map. Not on your iPhone or your tablet, a real hold-in-your hands map that gives you a picture of the entire layout of the city. Only then can you get an idea of where you are in relation to where you want to go, not to mention what you might see along the way. This is called a mental map, a much better way of knowing where you are in relation to your environment. If you don't really care where you are, what's around you and where you're going, and only want directions for getting to a certain address, go on ahead with your smartphone self.

I carried this highly useful map all over Tokyo in my back pocket during a recent visit and was able to travel easily throughout the city. It's much more useful than the maps included in the guide books I have read. The combination of color, letter, and number that codes each subway station makes it very easy to know where to go and when to get off. On the larger maps, each station shows exit numbers that match the large black-on-yellow signs underground and help you to get out in the right direction. Note that it's most useful to combine this map with a debit-card-like subway/train pass (either Suica or PASMO), which you can even buy in the basement of the Narita airport. When you leave Tokyo for good, take your pass to the office at the nearest subway station and they'll refund most of your remaining money. (BTW, if you have access to a WiFi connection, try entering origin and destination in Google Maps and clicking on the subway icon.)Pros:A reasonably small size makes this map portable, but it's still very legible.The close-up maps show subway station exit numbers, block numbers, and even outlines of high-rise buildings in the vicinity.The map is laminated and is still in excellent shape even after our return.Cons:Not every neighborhood of Tokyo is shown in close-up view. To name just a few areas, Sengakuji station, the Yanaka neighborhood, and Ryogoku station (Edo museum) are only shown in less detail (but the map is still useable).

i used this everyday during my stay in Tokyo. it was easy to use and reliable. it proved the best of several guides i had purchased and the only one i actually needed during the month long visit. it is amazing how much information is clearly presented in this small map/guide. it is expertly designed, beautiful and functional. it is also sturdy, which is good because if you want only one street map then this is it and you will keep referring to it as it is also a guide. it provides a wide range of necessary information, correlates metro lines/stations with neighborhoods and sites, and even includes sub-district names and numbers and block numbers. the intelligent use of upper and lower case, regular, bold, italic, and outlines, and color provides great clarity. it could keep you busy for a lot of your flight and you would be well informed when you land in Tokyo.

I needed this book for my XML class and I must admit I only read some chapters as the topics presented were not well explained. There were many times I had to go online and look up through W3C or some other reference on how some of the technologies functioned (i.e. schema, XPath, XSQL,etc.). To be fair, this book is supposed to be more of an introduction to all that XML has to offer and I would consider it as a primer for someone completely new to XML, if you already know XML and want a reference I'm not sure this book is the way to go.

I know many people may be forced to use this book for a college XML course, if so I do feel bad for you. The book and the try-it-out examples are fraught with errors, poor grammar, and missing files. In my class, we have found over two dozen errors in the text and we are only through chapter 6. I feel like I spend more time trying to figure out what the book is trying to say than I do with actually learning XML. I think with a lot of proof reading and testing, this book could truly be an excellent BEGINNING Xml book but in its current state, it is very hard for a beginner like myself to sort through the mess.I would steer clear of this book if you can and hopefully the authors will come out with a sixth edition sooner rather than later with corrected material.

All I have to say about this book is Typos! Look at Wrox website and it will show where they had to update files since the book was wrong....... I would have stopped reading this, but my school is using this book for some reason.

A few errors and some examples don't work, but overall you get the point of XMl

Excellent book to understand and use XML. I recommend it.I purchased for a problem I needed to solve at work and its an excellentaddition to my library.

very well written book on XML but It is not really for beginners. you have to have some background or be in school to get more benefit of this book.
