Yes, I did order the "sweary" edition, but I'm going to say the swearing is all f*** this, and f***ing this. A well placed swear word can make something hilarious. This seemed like a lot of crude f bombs that weren't all that funny.

Absolutely hilarious and the perfect outlet for any nurse in your life!Purchased this for one of my best friends and it had more than a few EXACT quotes I've heard her say on multiple occasions.Paraphrasing a few of her favorites"the H stands for hospital, not Hilton""if you can yell, you can breathe"These are single paged, which makes them perfect to frame and hang for motivational purposes.I HIGHLY recommend this hilarious and therapeutic book!

Before you buy this product, know that it will have some crude and foul language. But it says so in the title. I got this item for my wife, who is a nurse as am I, so we can relate to everything this book points out! This book is full of random snippets of every day life as a nurse or medical professional that when it happens to you... not so funny, but extremely funny to relive it through entertaining quotes that you can color through your shift so you don’t have and aneurysm! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a good laugh and particularly if you’re a member of the medical community as you would be able to relate to just about everything in the book!

Returned the 3 of them I bought for funny yankee swaps with other nurses .There was 18 pages with the f word on it. Wish i read the whole write up before i wasted my time and money

As an RN, I'm down for a good sweary joke, but this coloring book is a little overboard. I bought it for a secret santa gift for a fellow co-worker, and while she thought it was funny, she agreed that it was a bit much. Why does every page have to drop the F Bomb? It was like the author shoved in as much crude obscenities as possible; not letting them naturally be in there to make it hilarious. So, if you're purchasing this as a gift for a fellow RN, make sure they're down for the F word on every page and in an unnatural way.

Luckily the co-worker I bought this for has a good sense of humour or someone the sayings in there would have been a little put off by some of the crudeness. When I got this, the pictures were great, the book was in good condition and yes, the saying we're a bit out there but they did manage to make me laugh. After a long day of dealing with stressful situations, I think this would be a great way to wind down.

Let me say first that I have been running a website with 300 editors for almost ten years now. I came into this course - and bought this book - having already experienced a variety of issues with communication. I knew just how critical communication could be to an organization. I had seen good quality communication that made work a joy, and I had seen troubled communication which caused disasters. I found this book *incredibly* helpful.Our course was 12 weeks and every week we dedicated ourselves to one of the chapters. Every week I took a ton of notes from the chapter we worked on - not just to pass the class, but because the information was fascinating and directly useful for my daily tasks. The examples were ones I could relate to and demonstrated the issues clearly. There were many times that I'd read a chapter and then enthusiastically go talk to my editors about the ideas, finding ways we could incorporate them in our process.There are discussions on handling a crisis. On ways to manage a group activity or meeting that keeps things flowing smoothly. The differences between writing policies and handling task specific communication. Dealing with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Ensuring that the messages you give out are listened to and respected.I could imagine, for example, that a young student with no experience in running meetings or dealing with group dynamics might not understand why there's time dedicated to this topic or how important it could be. For people who have gone through those issues and seen how they can bog down a project, the information is invaluable.Very well recommended. As the book mentions, communication is NOT just for "communications professionals" (HR, newsletter writers, etc.) This information is incredibly valuable for anyone who wants to become better respected and heard in their career.If I'm going to look for flaws, perhaps it's that Chapter 12 is all about "ways to find jobs that involve your communication skills". I don't need that kind of information in this book. I'd get a book on finding jobs if that's what I needed.

Not a useful book. Filled with obvious platitudes and minor rewordings of information easily available elsewhere (not to mention large quantities of simple common sense that one doesn't require a textbook for), this is a clear example of yet one more slightly-different version of the same textbook available from a dozen different authors, each looking for some income by having it required for classes at the college they teach at.

The binding on this book is broken. Pages falling out each time a page is turned. Very poor quality. I rented this book and must return it in this condition. I do not want to pay full price for an item I received in such poor condition. Not happy with this product.

Fairly dry book. Definitely reads like a formal textbook. Readers who want to be engaged and drawn in would do well to look elsewhere. This book struggles to make some of the connections that are necessary to take its information to the next level and show practical applications. Not bad, but not great. It is a useful reference, nothing more.
