Emmett said hello and she acted very cold. She did not want to be involved with a cowboy. She left to get away from an old boyfriend . Neither one dated very much. The cowboy an their wives were going to a dance and while they are there Emmett accidentally spills lemonade on Molly when they bump into each other
This story is very uplifting it gives you hope when you're afraid. Your stories make things very believable as in the characters seem to show their feelings thank you for writing such nice sweet stories.
Such a wonderful heartfelt story beginning to end. So glad they found each other. Can't wait for the next book.
Love these.
I love this author.
Emmett Graves, a horse trainer at Brush Creek Ranch, is a happy-go-lucky man. Yet, he's sworn off women. Between being abandoned by his mother when he was 12, and his father's and brothers' failed marriages, he simply doesn't need the aggravation. But he enjoys dancing with the ladies at the Friday night community events. Molly Brady, a 6-time barrel racing rodeo champion, has retired from the circuit. A disastrous relationship with a cheating cowboy that developed into a stalking situation has left her reeling. Being constantly afraid of her ex to the point of getting a restraining order against him, has soured her view of men--especially cowboys.A horrendous chance meeting between Emmett and Molly at the Friday night dance is only superseded by the nightmarish revelation that they'll be working together training horses. Neither is thrilled, and they both are very guarded towards the other. However, upon learning that cancer is rapidly destroying Molly's Dad, Emmett shows her compassion. She begins to rethink that her initial impression of him is flawed. Will Emmett and Molly allow their past experiences and present circumstances to deny their feelings for each other? Or, will they push through their pain and misgivings to build a future together? This novella explores the impact past relationships have on current and future ones. These realistic, yet wounded, characters are challenged to look forward instead of backwards. Though a work of fiction, this work encourages self-examination by readers to draw parallels between Emmett's and Molly's stories with their own. Hard times come to everyone. Difficult times make us want to withdraw from others and wear a false happy face. But as Emmett tells Molly, "It's okay to not be okay." However, by relying upon God and each other, the journey can provide splashes of joy along the way. This book is highly recommended!
This is another good story from Liz Iscaason. When a single retired rodeo cowboy that trains horses to be rodeo barrel racers meets a retired rodeo barrel racing cowgirl at the dance it doesn't go well at all. But when Molly is hired to work at Brush Creek Horse Ranch with Emmett they have to work side by side and if she cannot work with the instructions Emmett gives her she doesn't have a job. But Emmett is a super easy going Christian man that has never wanted no more than his job and his cat, until meeting Molly. Molly had such a bad ending to her rodeo dating she has gave up on dating altogether until she meets Emmett.Molly needs the faith that Emmett can help her find and they both need the love that their life is missing. It's not long before both of them start falling for each other and realizing that their lives were not full as they thought without the other. But when Molly received a call inside the training ring and Emmett goes to tell her no phones allowed is when he sees her bent over in tears. He rushed over to find her father had cancer and he has been sent to the hospital. Emmett is such a humble caring man he feels he needs to help her out. The closer they get the easier it gets. When Molly gets the call that her father is really bad, she drops everything and leaves for home. Emmett doesn't find out till the following morning she is gone and his phone is not working. Her leaving gave him the feel that his life has changed to the point that he doesn't want to live without Molly and she feels the same too. Molly's mother told her to let Emmett make a choice if he wants to come be with her while her father is in his last days or not. Emmett makes it to Omaha and gets to meet both of Molly's parents and he starts doing everything he can for Molly and her mother who are so exhausted. He proposed to Molly and they are so happy. He takes over doing the little things around the house while they stay at the hospital. 3 days later her father passes. Her mother makes a lot of decisions that go along with loosing a husband and not having any family left in Omaha so they pack up her house and sell it and bring her to Brush Creek to live near them. What a beautiful story of true love being new and the loss of another. But their faith gets them through.
